European Council of Jewish Communities
uropean Council of Jewish Communities (ECJC) is a non government organization (NGO) established as a non-profit association, which coordinates all Jewish communities in 40 countries throughout Europe. It aims to strengthen Jewish life in Europe, forge partnerships with the various Jewish communities throughout the continent, improve coordination within European Jewry, strengthen ties with other world Jewish communities, and perform an active Jewish contribution to building a Europe based on democracy, diversity, tolerance and a strong civil society. Moshe Peterburg is President of ECJC Israel since the beginning of 2009. He aims to enhance the role of the Israeli branch within the ECJC, while strengthening the ties between Israel and European community leaders.
